On the Sundays that I have no meetings scheduled, I've started visiting churches that I've contacted. Last Sunday I went to Timberline Baptist Church in Manitou Springs, CO. (Just a few minutes from Colorado Springs.) It was a blessing to meet Pastor Dan Parton and the church family, and also a fellow single missionary, Becky Pope. Becky is a nurse and was just accepted by BIMI this December. What a treat to meet a fellow co-laborer living so close!
I'm glad I love to travel! :-) After several weeks of sending out packets and calling pastors, my calendar is starting to fill up- Praise the Lord! In March, every Sunday is full- going to churches in Colorado. The first two weeks I'll be near Denver and the last two I'll be out on the western slope near the Utah border.
From June through October I plan to be in and around Ohio, but so far it looks like I'll be "around" more than "in." I'll be heading to Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. God truly does give grace for what He calls each of us to do, because I'm ready to pack up the bags and head out for an adventure! :-)
I still have plenty of empty Sundays, though. Please pray with me that the Lord will fill up my calendar with churches He wants me to be in. (Please forgive the misused preposition, Mr. West. :-))
