The Brouwer Family

What are "praying pilgrims?" This is a ministry of Central Baptist Church for the elderly. For many years men and women from CBC have gone to local nursing homes and bused these elderly folks in for their own service. They have singing, specials, and preaching. Well this week Jonathan starting working in there. He'll be helping once a month. This is a great ministry for Jonathan since he does so well with the elderly and disabled. God has given him a compassion for these people that blesses my heart.

This past Sunday evening both Tim and Jon sang in our new church Teen Choir. What a beautiful job the teens did! All those practices really paid off. The guys section carried the choir with their strong voices. Not that I'm partial to the guy's section, OK, maybe I am! Even still, it was a joy to see these young men singing for the Lord.

I suppose one reason this was so special for me is because we don't have this opportunity in Tanzania. We are really enjoying taking part in all the ministries and activities of Central Baptist Church while we are home this furlough. What a blessing it is to be members of a great church!
