Last night was Tim's first day on the job. He's working at our local grocery store, Food City. He's more than excited! This job will also give us an opportunity to teach him some valuable lessons on money management such as tithing, faith promise, saving, etc. Our first born is becoming a young man and we are very proud of him!!
Last month was Abigail's 10th birthday. We were on the road visiting churches and she was disappointed not to be home, in Tennessee, with her friends. Well the Lord blessed her and made her birthday very special!
First off, we were at Midwestern Baptist Church in Omaha, NE for a Missions Conference. As people heard it was Abigail's special day, this one and that one would hand her a dollar bill. She also made some sweet friends at that church, and they too gave her little gifts.
Next we were at Grace Baptist Church in St. Louis, MO. The Wednesday we were there was Abigail's actual birthday. The pastor's wife made Abigail the tallest birthday cake I have ever seen! Then that night the entire church surprised Abigail with a party after the service. She was overwhelmed, as was her mother!
The Lord is so good to do special things for our children!
